In an inspiring display Babatimehin Peace and Arowosafe Ayomide Faith proudly represented The Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan(TLDS’ UI), at the FUNAAB Intervarsity Debate Competition and emerged champions.
Competing against other institutions including LAUTECH, TASU, FUNAAB (host institution), and others, the University of Ibadan duo outclassed their opponents with a cumulative average score of 82.77%, the highest in the tournament.
Their performance not only secured first place for the University of Ibadan but also reaffirmed the prestige and legacy of The Literary and Debating Society, widely regarded as one of the most formidable intellectual platforms in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The victory is a testament to the strength of TLDS training culture, the brilliance of the two representatives, and the University of Ibadan’s continuing tradition of excellence in intervarsity debates.
