Excellence is not a fluke. At the University of Ibadan, it’s a tradition stitched into our fabric, echoing even from lecture halls to national stages. And once again, we have proof.
At the 2025 Amnesty International Intervarsity Debate, where Nigeria’s best minds clashed in fierce intellectual combat, Goodluck Akinlawon Ihuoma, a proud member of The Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan (Obafemi Awolowo Hall and The Faculty of Law), stood tall and finished even taller. Among competing giants like the University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo University, UNIPORT, Landmark University, and others, she emerged undefeated and undisputed.
Her win is not just a personal feat. It’s a reminder that when TLDS speaks, Nigeria listens. That when UI steps forward, it’s not just to compete, but to conquer.
To Goodluck, we say: Thank you for showing the nation what TLDS means.
To every UI student, we say: You’re next. Keep preparing, keep showing up.
Because at UI, we don’t just raise voices—we raise standards.
